VALUE RESORTS

Value resorts are a great option for guests looking for a budget friendly stay. Our favorite value resorts have newly renovated rooms. Some even have extra transportation options (skyliner at Pop Century & Art of Animation) and most have great theming! Most standard rooms here sleep up to 4 guests.

You’ll enjoy these rooms if you:
-are looking for a budget friendly option
-don’t plan to spend anytime at the resort so don’t need extra amenities
-want great Disney (cartoony) theming
-don’t need much space in your hotel room

MODERATE RESORTS

Moderate Resorts are a great option for many families! With standard room options that sleep 5, families of 5 find these rooms a comfortable option that meets their budget. You’ll find nicer pools here (with slides!) & fun play areas of the kids. Rooms are slightly larger and some have been newly renovated. Caribbean Beach is on the skyliner. These resorts have a few more dining options and nice common areas.

You’ll enjoy these rooms if you:
-need a budget friendly standard room that sleeps 5
-need a little more space in the hotel room
-want more dining options

DELUXE & DELUXE VILLAS

Deluxe (& Deluxe Villa) resorts are our favorites! These resorts have more dining (some have character dining options!), great pools with play areas & slides, and lots of fun, unexpected entertainment around the resorts. These are conveniently located near a park & most have additional transportation options to the parks via boat, monorail, skyliner, etc.

These are great for you if you:
-love a luxurious stay
-want your resort to feel like a destination
-love details
-want larger room options
-want more dining, entertainment & fun at your resort

Deluxe:

  • Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
One of Heidi’s favorite resorts! This is an animal lover’s dream! You are literally staying in a savanna! Right outside your resort you’ll see several different beautiful animals. Super knowledgeable cast members will be on hand to answer any questions you have about the animals. (There are even savanna view rooms so you can open your curtains for an amazing view!) You’ll also find unique, delicious food options here. (Some of my favorite include Praline Sauce on anything for breakfast buffet at Boma’s and the famous bread service at Sanaa.) With gorgeous theming throughout, lots of activities to keep you entertained on resort days, and fun pools & play areas, this resort is perfect for families and groups of all ages. One small con here, while it is a deluxe resort, the only free park transportation you’ll find will be bus due to it’s location (gotta have space for all those animals).

EPCOT AREA RESORTS: These will be great for guests planning to visit EPCOT at least once during their stay. Also perfect for park hopping (you can return through EPCOT at the end of the day). Being close to EPCOT, you’ll get great fireworks views every night. Being close to the other resorts in this area, you’ll find lots of great shopping and dining options. Transportation includes bus to all resorts & Disney springs and easy transportation to Hollywood Studios with the skyline and boat (oh and maybe obvious but you can walk to EPCOT). :)

  • Disney's Beach Club Resort
The Beach Club is one of the most popular resorts among our guests. It has an amazing pool (though maybe best for families with experienced swimmers), perfect location (right next to EPCOT as well as many other resorts), great food options (my favorite being the ice cream at Beaches & Cream), and great rooms.

  • Disney's BoardWalk Inn
Another great resort with great rooms and a fun pool. You’ll benefit from all the perks of being in the EPCOT area. At Christmas time, it’s one of our favorites to visit for it’s great decor.

  • Disney's Yacht Club Resort
Next door and a sister resort to the Beach Club, this resort features the same great benefits as above with different theming.

MAGIC KINGDOM AREA RESORTS: These are close to Magic Kingdom with views of the fireworks (and even the castle). All offer a boat ride to Magic Kingdom and all (with the exception of Wilderness Lodge) offer monorail transportation to Magic Kingdom and the TTC (where you can transfer to EPCOT). While these resorts are perfect for families of all ages, we especially love them for families with young children who plan to spend a lot of time at Magic Kingdom park.

  • Disney's Contemporary Resort
Home of Chef Mickey’s, this popular resort features a walking path to Magic Kingdom (great for littles in strollers) and a monorail that goes THROUGH the building. (It really is a sight to see!) With newly refurbished rooms in the main tower, you’ll get super fun INCREDIBLES theming in clean, comfortable rooms.

  • Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
An agent and guest favorite, Grand Floridian is a classic Disney resort filled with nostalgia for a lot of us. It’s beautiful theming always makes us think of the perfect girls get away (and it’s kind of become a joke that grandma’s LOVE this resort!). With a spa, shopping, great dining & even Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique- you’ll find plenty to do here even if not in the parks. We also like it’s sidewalk to Magic Kingdom for a quick escape to the room after fireworks when everyone else is in line for other transportation. While we are obsessed with the Grand Floridian, it is worth pointing out we feel like some rooms could use an update/refurbishment.

  • Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
We voted, and the Poly wins most popular by far. This resort is truly an escape from the hustle & bustle of the parks, making it a true getaway. With pacific theming, it’s reminiscent of our honeymoon (hello, luau) which gives it bonus points. Kids love the pool and slide and lots of activities here. Parents love the generous hot tubs and fireworks viewing from the beach. And we all love the Dole Whips! Rooms have been newly refurbished with a Moana theme making this resort a hard one to get into.

  • Disney's Wilderness Lodge
With gorgeous theming and design, this resort is a must visit during Christmas time (or anytime, really). You’ll find fun activities, fun pools, and lots of areas to relax and unwind in.
